rom server emulator v 0.3

Not release, just status update:

Done since 0.2:

  • mounts
  • monster stats calculation
  • complete spawn points for 1-4 chapters
  • quests support (not completed)
  • dungeons
  • game client updated to chapter 5 (including last skills fixes)
  • Dwarfes are supported too
-----------------------------------------------------------------------


Current state: working on the battle system (damage calculation, fighting, etc). Then I will try to split server to different chapters (1,2,3,4,5,6), which allow players to select preferred chapter to play. I know, that most of peoples asked the Chapter I or II to play, so they would be glad.

Some screens, don't look on server version message, its outdated ;)

      Quiet, Rome was not built in a day. This is a hard job. He just wants to wait for the emulator is definitely over, and then publish it. The rush is never good and good is worth waiting for. But Luxtau...you can tell us something ¬¬ or publish any fun screen like Red Bull =)

    I think that people would love to see even non-working emu released, just to have to play with something while waiting... or possibly help as well?

    I am interested to learn what kind of hardware would be required to run RoM private server (just 2-3 users)

      Joke aside, is there anything we can help with? I would love to even log locally and test quests/mobs. No need for instances right away...

      Also, what kind of admin commands will be available? Something similar to MANGOS for WoW emulators?

      Thank you for all your work! RoM really needs something simillar to MANGOS, and I would really love CH1 and CH2 sooner then rest of the game.

      Freezed for a time. No interest to continue it.
      I can publish sources, but I don't think that someone will work with emu.

      Yes, I think there are people that is interested in continue your project. If you had lost the interest in continue your romemu maybe if you publish your advances somebody can continue and if you see that it will be good maybe returns your interest :)

      Boy. That was along time ago :)
      Since RoM source code has been leaked several times, anybody can run their own server, so there's no point in working on an emulator. But it has been fun nonetheless.
