about actual boss parameters

Found an unreaplied comment:
i do not know how easy it is for you to parse the data but i think a LOT of people would be very interested in real-world data from bosses a) to compare with what the community found out so far b) to better optimize equipment and put the appropriate weight on certain skills like some of mages warriors and scouts which reduce a criticial resistance - currently everyone is more or less just guessing how much the actual effect will be.
IDK. In some games this information is open, in another (including RoM) — closed.

Lot of peoples trying to obtain or calculate the real parameters (PAtk, PDef, Crit resist, etc.) and if I will publish full table, they will lose interest of research :)

Upd: okay, this is parameters for Chapters 1-2: link.

I agree that knowing these values could ruin the mistery of the game. Knowing exactly how much patt/pdef you need for a specific boss will just turn the game into a math test and rely less on intuition and experience.

Don't show further than chapter III. Let the noobs guess. If you can't tell your patt or matt is too low for a boss, you have no bussiness being anywhere near that boss.

I am only wondering about crit resist for Hard mode bosses in GC and ToSH. I suppose your policy is not to reveal such info, as it would kill some kind of mystery. If it is so and you couldn't or rather no wanna send me full table as for CH1-2 maybe you can send me info with highest and lowest crit resist for bosses in T7 or GC HM. Cuz honsetly it suppose to be unguessable, as crit varies like +/-20%, depends on patt (as far as I know) and lvl.

they vary quite a bit. annelia is 27ish if i remember right for phys crit resist. AC is an enormous increase as is krolin.

but the resist values arent very useful really. not a lot you can do to compensate i think? the pdef, mdef, pa and ma etc are more useful by far i thought.

i try to compile in a pretty format and post somewheres. its a bit tedious to pull the crit resists since they arent always in the same place..rarely are actually

lol ;p 45ish for phys crit res, guess i was being needlessly vague

guess i should add...this is still somewhat an oversimplification of the way things workout, also why i said the crit resist values arent super useful. the boss npc's have a large pool of parameters ive never heard mentioned anywhere or anyone speak of:

like...ignore X amount of a target's parry rate, pierce through dodge rate..even X amount of their shield's defense. inherent white hit range increase or skill range increases. % magic, range, melee dmg absorption...inherent decrease of opponent attack speed etc etc. theres a lot of tables plus the boss lua scripts where stuff is pulled from and very little is labeled

thinking this boss has 75k pattack so im fine with X amount of pdef tanking him may give results you arent expecting :D

lol no, just a failmage that likes to dig i guess. :þ if you found the crit resist location you can find the other stuff, just takes more time and digging to define the identifier. a lot of the parameters are in the same 2 area "clusters" as the resists.

you know any programm with witch you can save .db files?
dide some changes to one of the .dbs but cant save it as .db

    1. You cannot change server-side db copies, so no sense to edit it.

    2. Anonymous11/7/12 18:48

so isn't it possible to change for example the revive points by editing them in the zoneobject.db?

      Delete
    3. Sure that no. All (with few exceptions) client databases only for information purposes (to display quest rewards, mob respawn points, NPC points, etc.), actual data keeped only at server.
